About our school

St Mary's School caters for children from Foundation to Year six and our main focus is to provide a quality Catholic education to the students in the Sea Lake area. We aim to provide a safe, caring and loving environment for all our students. Our school is centred on Christian values whereby all members treat each other with respect and dignity.
St Mary's is a child safe school.

St. Mary's School is part of the St. Mary's Parish, which covers Sea Lake, Nandaly, Berriwillock and Culgoa. Sea Lake is in the heart of the Mallee.

The school was established in 1958 and celebrated its jubilee in 2007.

In 2020 St. Mary's has 37 students with three full time classrooms in operation.

Our school is a welcoming community, embedded in the parish which is responsible for its foundation. Many past pupils are now parents who have chosen this school for their own children.

As a Catholic School the beliefs and practices of the Church are our foundation. Gospel values inform every aspect of our work: academic, social, spiritual and moral.

We believe that each person is a unique gift from God and we are committed to:

  • helping everyone in the school community grow in faith
  • giving individuals every opportunity to develop their abilities
  • achieving academic excellence
  • working in partnership with parents, the parish and wider community
